Dr. Hon Hock Woon is a senior principal researcher at MIMOS Berhad, where he leads the Advanced Intelligence Lab. His extensive research experience encompasses the areas of computer vision, machine learning, intelligent transportation, industrial quality inspection, and sensor fusion-based automation, with a particular focus on smart cities & transportation and industrial automation. Dr. Hon received his Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from the Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom in 1997. He later obtained his doctorate degree from the same university in 2000, with his research interests mainly concentrated on computer vision, imaging, and machine learning.

Before joining MIMOS, Dr. Hon served as a research fellow at TNTU in collaboration with Police Scientific Research Branch in the United Kingdom. He also worked as a research engineer at various computer vision companies in the United Kingdom and Spain. Dr. Hon has an impressive record of journal publications and patents both locally and internationally, demonstrating his significant contributions to the field of computer vision. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Professional Project Manager (PMP). He has recently obtained certifications in Deep Learning Specialization, Digital Manufacturing and Design Specialization, TensorFlow Practice Specialization and Visual Perception for Self-Driving Cars certification.

Elina Jani is currently one of the Senior Directors for in Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), and the Chief Executive Officer of GreenTech Malaysia Alliances (GTMA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MGTC. With her roots in Europe Yvonne joined the advisory board of SEMI Europe and the board of the German high-tech-cluster Silicon Saxony beginning 2021.
Yvonne brings over 20 years of semiconductor experience in Manufacturing, Automation, Global Supply Chain and Procurement.

The graduate engineer studied electrical engineering at the TU Dresden and the KTH Stockholm with a focus on automation technology, machine learning and artificial intelligence. She has worked at AMD since 2005 and joined GlobalFoundries 2012.

Jamie is the Senior Director of Quality and Product Engineering for HP’s Print Business.

A change agent, she led the setup of Smart Manufacturing Application & Research Center in Singapore, applying I-4.0 technologies in manufacturing. This led to the successful accreditation of HP Singapore Factory in the WEF’s global manufacturing lighthouse network. She continues to advocate Quality 4.0 to drive quality improvement and is a member of WEF’s New Generation Industry Leader.

A strong people advocate, she has led several initiatives on people development, workforce upskilling and building a culture for innovation.

An advocate for women in STEM and advanced manufacturing, she was named Top 50 Asia Women Tech Leaders Award in 2024, Singapore 100 Women-in-Tech in 2020, co-foundered the Society of Women Engineer Singapore Affiliate SWE@SG and serves as the SWE@SG President from 2021-2023.

She leads a global team with people in Singapore, Malaysia and United States and is passionate on application of new technologies and shaping the future of manufacturing.

Lim Kok Leong is a senior manager at HP Inc., where he oversees the product engineering, testing centre, and failure analysis laboratory for the print business. He has more than 20 years of experience in the printing industry, spanning across manufacturing, procurement, engineering, customer service, and account management.

Kok Leong is a versatile and adaptable leader who has successfully managed various projects and teams in different regions and functions. He has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. He is also a passionate mentor who fosters a culture of learning and growth among his employees.

As the head of the South-East Asia Test Center, Kok Leong is responsible for the product management, testing, and failure analysis of the ink supplies for the print business. He has been instrumental in introducing Industry 4.0 and advanced technologies into the testing processes, resulting in improved quality, reliability, and productivity.  

Kok Leong holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

Mun formed a Strategic Alliance in conjunction with the inaugural Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC, HANNOVER MESSE Technology Event on 16th Oct 2018, known as Smart i4.0 Transformation Alliance (SiTA). This alliance aims to provide one-stop i4.0 integrated solutions for the Precision Engineering industry, assisting manufacturing companies in transitioning from Conventional Factory to Smart Factory. He serves as the Chairman of SiTA, leading a team of members from Singapore and international companies, which has grown from 14 to 20 members.

Mun actively participates in various associations. He has been the Deputy Chairman of the Smart Automation Industry Group (SAIG) in the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) since January 2014. Additionally, he serves as a Council Member in the Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA) since March 2019.

Mun is a member of the Judging Panel for Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) – School of Management students’ business project presentations. He has been sharing his experience and valuable advice with NYP students during NYP Entrepreneurship Day since 2011, where he mentors students on their business ideas.
