Dato’ Mohamad Haris Kader Sultan is the Chief Executive of the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), leading the transformation of the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) into a globally competitive technology and investment hub. Since assuming the role in 2022, he has strengthened the region’s semiconductor and Electrical and Electronics (E&E) ecosystem while advancing inclusive and sustainable growth across Penang, Kedah, Perlis and Perak. In 2025, NCER facilitated RM78.55 billion in realised investments and created more than 23,000 high-value jobs.
A Chartered Accountant and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, he brings extensive experience in auditing, international finance and economic development, having previously served with Deloitte and as NCIA’s Chief Financial Officer. He also serves as a Board Member of Collaborative Research in Engineering, Science and Technology (CREST) and received Malaysia’s Most Outstanding Personality Award (Human Capital) at the Malaysian Education and TVET Awards 2023.
