Herve Charles is Vice President of Smart Manufacturing IT at NXP Semiconductors, where he leads the company’s digital manufacturing and factory IT strategy, driving smart factory initiatives, industrial automation, and digital transformation across NXP’s global manufacturing operations. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing IT, industrial engineering, and factory automation. Since joining NXP (following the Freescale acquisition), he has held leadership roles including Head of IT Asia, Global Industrial Engineering, Director of Systems & Automation, and Senior Director of Smart Manufacturing IT. Prior to NXP, he spent more than a decade at STMicroelectronics in manufacturing systems and IT leadership positions. Herve is recognized for advancing Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, industrial AI, and digital factory transformation.
