Ts. Dr. Shahrul Yazid Yahaya brings over 30 years of leadership in the electrical and electronics industry, with expertise spanning product and process engineering, hardware and software design, manufacturing, and R&D. He currently serves as Vice President of Market and Industry Development at CREST, driving industry–academia–government collaborations to strengthen Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem. Dr. Shahrul holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, an MBA from Universiti Utara Malaysia, and an EngD in Engineering Business Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He has also contributed as an advisor to multiple Malaysian universities on research, innovation, and industry engagement.
