Hasni Bin Mohammad is a distinguished politician and civil engineer from Johor, Malaysia, with an extensive career spanning public service, governance, and infrastructure development. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri, United States of America.
Throughout his career, he has served in numerous key leadership roles, most notably as the Chief Minister of Johor from 2020 to 2022. He is currently a Member of the Johor State Legislative Assembly and a Member of the Malaysian Parliament. At the parliamentary level, he serves as Chairman of the Special Select Committee on Finance and Economy, and as a Member of the Special Select Committee on Human Rights, Elections, and Institutional Reform.
At the international level, he represents Malaysia in parliamentary diplomacy through his role as President of the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly, contributing to global cooperation and peace initiatives.
His leadership further extends to executive and strategic institutions, including his roles as Chairman of the Economic, Tourism and Cultural Office Singapore (JETCO) and Executive Chairman of the Johor Sustainability Centre (Sustainable Johor). He was also recently appointed Chairman of the Malaysian Highway Authority. On 27 March 2024, he assumed the role of Economic and Investment Advisor to the State of Johor.
Previously, from 2013 to 2018, he served as Johor State Executive Councillor for Works and Rural Development, underscoring his long-standing commitment to infrastructure growth and community advancement. He is also a respected member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia.
